Thomas Edward “Tom Ed” Majors of Black passed away Thursday, August 3, 2017 at his residence. He was 83 years old.

 

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Saturday, August 5, 2017 at Black 1^st United Methodist Church with Bro. Freddie McCain and Bro. Alan Meyer officiating. Burial will follow in Black Community Cemetery under the direction of Jimmy Bottoms of Bottoms Garden Chapel Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the church.

 

Tom Ed was born November 18, 1933 in Black to the late Angus Perry and Rebecca Pearl Blount Majors.

 

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two sons, Gary and Greg Majors; one daughter, Stephanie Majors; one grandson, Shane Cross; five sisters.

 

Survivors include his wife Madrue Forrest Majors of Black; his children, Sherry Majors Cross of Black, Steve (Gwen) Majors of Hartford, and Shea Majors Wilson of Black; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
