Ursula Charlotte Alexander, 81, of Ozark, passed away peacefully Sunday, June 19, 2016 at her home surrounded by family. She was 81.



Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 25, 2016 in the Earl Bankston Memorial Chapel of Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.



Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.



Mrs. Alexander was born February 15, 1935 in Bad Kreuznach, Germany. She married the love of her life, Alex, on March 20, 1954 and together they had four beautiful daughters. Being a military wife, she and Alex called many cities home. Between 1954-1969, they lived in Ft. Smith, AR, Verona, Italy, Newton, AL and Kaiserslautern, Germany. In 1969 they moved back to Ozark where she lived the remainder of her life.


 


Mrs. Alexander’s family was her greatest joy and her children and grandchildren looked forward to spending time with her.  She also loved traveling, gardening, and the outdoors.  She was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed knitting and crocheting.  She will be greatly missed by all.


 


She was preceded in death by her parents, Hans and Anna Albrecht.


 


Survivors include her husband, James Alexander of Ozark; their four daughters, Charlotte Van Trease of Ozark, Patricia Ballance (David) of Harvest, AL, Rebecca Merritt (Tom) of Headland, AL and Stefanie Parker (Phillip) of Black, AL; 10 grandchildren, Robert Van Trease (Sarah), Robin Bundy (Steven), Kerri Ballance, Kristina Corbin (Mark), Brian Corbin, David Merritt, Ashley Wright (Travis), Tyler Merritt, Kevin Parker and Kyle Parker; 13 great grandchildren; two sisters, Anneliese Klumb (Fritz) of Rüdesheim, Germany and Rosemary McKenzie of Conway, AR; and one brother, Hans Albrecht (Ursula) of Tiefenbach, Germany.
