DOTHAN. . .Vicki Griffin McKnight, a resident of Dothan, died Saturday afternoon, July 22, 2017, in a Dothan hospital. She was 53.

            Graveside services will be held at 2:30 P.M. Tuesday, July 25, 2017, in the Columbia City Cemetery with Reverend Todd Thorpe officiating. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at the mortuary in Headland. At other times, the family will be at the home of her mother, Brenda Williams, in Columbia.

            Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to International Crisis Aid, 5427 Telegraph Road, St. Louis, MO 63129.

            Vicki McKnight was born in Columbus, Mississippi and lived in Columbia before moving to Dothan in 2013. She was a 1982 graduate of the Houston County High School in Columbia and attended Wallace Community College where she received a certificate as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Vicki was preceded in death by her step-father, James O. Williams and a granddaughter, Callie Grace Rivenbark.

            Surviving relatives include a daughter, Emily McKnight, Eufaula; two sons, Dustin Rivenbark (Aimee), Columbia; and Logan McKnight, Eufaula; her mother, Brenda Bryan Williams, Columbia; her father, Bill Griffin, Dothan; a sister, Jennifer Griffin Long (Shawn), Columbia; and a brother, Greg Griffin (Stephanie), Columbus, GA; a granddaughter, Brianna Rivenbark; two nieces, Raea Parker (Lynn), and Natalie Griffin; two nephews, Matthew Griffin and Daniel Griffin; several aunts, uncles and cousins including a special aunt, Glenda Griffin; and a special cousin, Misty Johnson.

            Serving as active pallbearers will be Matthew Griffin, Terry Johnson, Shawn Long, Marty Harbert, Ed Rivenbark and Mike McKnight.
