W. Gerald Mercer, of Chancellor, passed away on Saturday, August 11, 2018.  He was 64.

A graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 13, 2018 at Meadowlawn Cemetery in Enterprise, AL with Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory directing.   

Gerald was born February 28, 1954, in Marianna, FL to the late W.G. Mercer and Lois Corbin Mercer. 

Survivors include his wife of 10 years, Mary Mercer; children: Jason Mercer of Chancellor, AL, Mandy Norris (Bryan) of Dothan, AL and Gregory Morgan (Jed) of Panama City Beach, FL; sister, Vivian Moore (Morris) of Chancellor, AL; brother, Farrial Mercer (Teresa) of Chancellor, AL; two grandchildren:  Hunter Mercer and Madison Norris; nieces and nephews:  Chase Mercer (Corey), Nikki Trawick (Chad), Christy Motley (Josh), Ashley Phillips (Billy) and Stacey Dunaway (Bo); many numerous great nieces and nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 2346 W. Main St. Dothan, AL 36301 in memory of Gerald Mercer.
