William Luke Stewart of Black, Alabama tragically left us too early on September 29, 2016. Even though he left this earth too soon, we find solace in knowing he is with his heavenly father.

Luke was a fifth grader at Geneva County Elementary School where he was loved by the students and faculty. One of Luke’s favorite past times was fishing. He would fish anywhere he could find. He also enjoyed hunting dove and deer with his brother, Jackson, and his daddy.  Luke was also a born explorer and would spend hours roaming in the woods. Some other things he enjoyed were riding 4-wheelers with his friends, playing with his brothers, playing baseball, swimming, spending time with his buddies, building things. He loved collecting knives, guns, arrowheads, coins and baseballs from different parts of the world, and sometimes he enjoyed being alone with his thoughts.

Visitation will be held at Hartford Baptist Church Tuesday, October 4, 2016 from 2-4 o’clock with the funeral to follow at the church. Pastor Bruce Spivey will be officiating. Grave side service will be held at Adoniram Cemetery on Geneva County Road 6 in Black, Alabama.

He is survived by his parents, Ryan and Shannon ( Outlaw ) Stewart and brothers Jackson and Baylor from Black, Alabama.

Grandparents Danny Ray and Judy Stewart of Black, Alabama, Dr. Lewe and Sandra West of Enterprise, Alabama and Levonne and Vicki Outlaw of Hartford, Alabama.

Two aunts, Tracey Stewart of Black, Alabama and Beverly ( Kalen ) Kosik and cousin Quinn of Dothan, Alabama, and very dear friend Ms. Margaret Justice.

The family wishes to thank everyone for their support and prayers during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, the family requests you donate money to either the Hartford Baptist Prayer Garden for a cherub statue in honor of Luke for parents who have lost children to come and find solace, or The William Luke Stewart Scholarship Fund at First National Bank.
