Mrs. Youwanna G. (Wanda) Waters of Level Plains passed away on Monday, August 29, 2016 at Flowers Hospital.  She was 82.

 

Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, September 1, 2016 at First Baptist Church of Level Plains with Reverend Mike Foreman officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Enterprise directing.  The family will receive friends at the church Thursday beginning at 2:00 and continuing until service time.

 

Youwanna was born March 19, 1934 in Micaville, North Carolina.  She was a nurse for 43 years and found great joy in caring for others.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Britt and Addie Hall Griffith, and her husband of 56 years, Walter Waters.

 

Survivors include a son, Jeffery Waters of Level Plains; a daughter, Dawn Tyree (Tommy) of Enterprise; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
