Zachary Clayton “Zach” Thorne

Zachary Clayton “Zach” Thorne, age 20 of Ashford, passed away early Friday morning, May 18, 2018 in Dothan.

Funeral services for Zach will be held at 2pm Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at Wayside Baptist Church, Ashford, with Youth Pastor Eric Varnum and Pastor Adam Habbard officiating. Burial will follow the Ashford City Cemetery, under the direction of Family First Funeral Care. The family will receive friends from noon until service time at the church on Tuesday.

Zach was born February 22, 1998 in Dothan to Clay Thorne and Chanda Marie Archie. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. Zach was a member of Wayside Baptist Church where he enjoyed being involved in the youth program with the church.

Zach is preceded in death by grandfather’s Foy Thorne and Billy Archie and grandmother, Brenda Stinson. In addition to his parents, Zach is survived by a step-mother, Katie Thorne, Ariton; three sisters, Hailey Dexter, Atlanta, GA, Abby Thorne, Ariton and Emileigh Dennis, Marianna, FL; paternal grandmother, Ann Thorne, Ashford; maternal grandmother, Kathy (Johnny) Campbell, Cowarts; grandfather, Allen Stinson, Ozark; an uncle, David Thorne, Ashford; aunts, Susan (Matt) Filicicchia, Eden Prairie, MN, Pam (Matt) Padgett, Savannah, GA, Amanda (Brent) Balistreri, Dothan, Marie (Bucky) Stevens, Ozark, Jackilyn (Dan) Barefield, Ozark, Denise (Jud) Steed, Ozark and Jennifer Archie; several cousins and other family members also.
