SKIPPERVILLE…. Zack Tharp, a resident of Skipperville, died Tuesday morning, February 27, 2018. He was 22.


          Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 3, 2018 in the Earl Bankston Memorial Chapel with his uncle, Jude Tharp officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens. Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home.


          Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675-8516.


          Zack was a native of the Ozark area and was a 2014 Graduate of G.W. Long High School in Skipperville. He was currently employed as a security agent with Vantage Sourcing (MRS-BPO) in Dothan. Zack was a friend to all, he was thoughtful, caring and kind. He had a passion to learn new things and was currently authoring a novel. Zack enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid billiard player.


          Surviving relatives include his mother, Cindy S. Masters (Tim), Ariton; father, Jeff Tharp (Lorna), Skipperville; sister, Selena Buehrig, Ashford; a step-sister, Kayla Hughes (Scott Bloom), Ozark; a brother, Payne Cole Tharp, Skipperville; two step-brothers, Kaleb Masters, Dothan, and Justin Masters, Ariton; grandparents, Britton Buehrig (Lavonna), Kingsport, TN, Nancy Mullen, St. Louis, MO, Larry Douglas Tharp, Skipperville, and Bonnie Wambles (Floyd), Elba; his best friend, Tommy Reed; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
