Mrs. Engquist was born June 22, 1925 in Worcester, MA to Sukias and Helen Mooradian. Shortly after her birth the family moved to Detroit, MI. She and her late husband Ralph, relocated to Dothan in 1981. Zora was a devout Christian who loved children and taught junior church for nearly 70 years. She was also a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was proud of her Armenian Heritage and told others of how her parents were the only ones from their families to survive the Armenian Genocide perpetuated by the Ottoman Turks in the early 20th Century. She was particularly proud that these family members would not renounce their Christian faith. Mrs. Engquist was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ralph, a sister and two brothers.

Survivors include her two sons, a daughter, a brother, Paul, six grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.

The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Kindred Hospice, especially nurse Karen Carroll and aide Glenda Coleman, for their loving care and support.
