Wallace Community College to Host Dale County Groundwater Festival

Dothan, Ala.--Wallace Community College—Wallace Campus will host the 2012 Dale County Groundwater Festival on Friday, October 11, 2013, at 9:00 a.m. Between 600 to 800 Dale County fourth graders are slated to attend.

The College holds the annual event to educate children on the importance of preserving the water supply. Students will participate in hands-on seminars and fun activities to teach them about aquifers, water filtration, and recycling. All drinking water comes from underground aquifers, and only about 1% of the world’s water is drinkable.
