Support the 1st Annual Wicksburg High School Panther 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run
Wicksburg High School's PTO is hosting the 1st Annual Panther 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run on Saturday, February 9th, 2013 at Wicksburg High School. This 1st Annual event is being established to promote fitness and community partnership. Registration is open to everyone in the community so please support Wicksburg High School by participating in the event. To encourage participation, the school administration has approved many staff, student, class and club incentives. Pre-registration for either the 5K or 1 Mile is due before January 21, 2013. Each entry costs $20 and includes a t-shirt or there is a no t-shirt option for $10. Pre-registration participants can pick up packets from 3:30-6:30PM on Friday, February 8th, 2013. Race-day registration is also available between 7:00AM and 7:30AM for $25 or $10 for no t-shirt. The 5K race starts at 8:00 AM and the 1 Mile Fun Run starts at 9:00 AM. An awards ceremony will be conducted inside the Wicksburg High School gym upon completion of the 1 Mile Fun Run.
Awards:
Trophies to fastest overall male and female
Trophies to the fastest three male and female finishers in each age category
Medals to every pre-registered 1 Mile participant
Funds from this event will be invested in our school for technology or equipment to provide educational opportunity and advancements for our students. We would greatly appreciate your donation of money or items to help make this 1st Annual event the first of many. Items requested include bottled water, packaged snacks (such as crackers, cookies, granola or cereal bars), fruit, coupons, gift certificates, gift cards, or gift items. Donations are tax deductible.
