Cottonwood Bears VS Houston County Lions, May 16th.

The Cottonwood Bears and the Houston County High Lions will tangle next Thursday night at the Ashford Yellow Jackets Stadium in a Jamboree game. The reason being that both schools mentioned are undergoing Cosmetic Enhancements, and neither stadium is available for a Jamboree Game. Game time is 6 p.m. with the varsity playing first, and the jv teams playing late in the game. Head Coach Toby Greene will be entering his 7th year at the helm of the Bears in the Fall. The 2013 edition of the Bears will be fun to watch. Cottonwood High School, the community and everyone involved with Cottonwood Athletics are encouraged to make the short drive to Ashford in support of the 2013 Bears and Lions. What better way to spend a Thursday night than to watch a football game in May and hopefully get a "handle "on what to expect in the few months ahead beginning in late August. The Bears high octane offense will be led by upcoming jr qb Cory Gill, the 2012 Wiregrass Area's leading passer.
