Headland Softball Wins 10-0 over Andalusia

Headland's varsity softball team improved to 10-0 on the season and 3-0 in their area with a 10-0 win in Headland today vs. the Lady Bulldogs of Andalusia. Headland was led on the mound by Katie-Beth Drew, who went the distance to notch the shutout victory over a tough andalusia squad. At the plate, Headland was led by 8th grader Jaycie Walker, who was 3 for 3 with a home run and 2 singles, driving in 1 run and scoring 3. She also had 2 stolen ba ses on the day. Senior catcher, Brianna Skipper was 2 for 3 with a double & single, scoring 2 runs as well as driving in 2 runs. Claire Bradshaw was also 2 for 3 with 2 RBI's and 1 run scored. Katie Beth Drew was 2 for 3 with 1 run scored as well as 1 RBI. Caroline Singleton had a double and scored a run as well as driving in one. Desiree Taylor had a hit and one run scored, while 8th grader Lauren Buchan had an RBI double on the day. Headland next plays area rival Ashford at 5:00 p.m. in Headland on Wednesday, April 11th. Come on out!!!!
