DOTHAN: For the day, Dothan Water Department is closing the 1100 block of Southerland Drive.
North Saint Andrews Street in front of the Dothan Civic Center remains closed as does the street directly behind the Dothan Civic Center. The LOVE DOTHAN projects intiated by former Dothan City Manager Kevin Cowper are all underway. Then Dothan City Manager Kevin Cowper raised $ 61 million non City of Dothan tax dollars for the renovations of Downtown. But for no apparent justifiable reason Dothan Commissioners D1 Kevin Dorsey, D2 Aristotle Kirkland, D4 John Ferguson and D5 Gnatt Pearce voted no on renewing then City Manager Kevin Cowper's contract. But within 34 days another City, New Symrna Beach had grabbed Cowper up and employed him.
