KINSEY:     At 9:08 PM Kinsey Police Chief Jim Mock made a traffic stop. The stop is reported to have been for an expired tag.


Chief Mock smelled the odor of marijuana. Upon further investigation the passenger was found to be in possession of marijuana. The person in possession said he had medical issues and that helped him cope with those issues.


Kinsey Police Chief Jim Mock placed the man under arrest. He was transported to Kinsey Police Department where he was under arrest for misdemeanor possession. The subject made bond and was released from custody and given a court date to appear.
