SLOCOMB - WICKSBURG - ENTERPRISE - TROY: This morning at 9:00 AM members of Slocomb Fire-Rescue, Wicksburg Fire - Rescue, Enterprise Rescue, and Troy Fire-Rescue assembled at Slocomb Fire-Rescue for deployment to Florida.
The men have left their families for deployment to St. Petersburg Florida to assist local EMS and other deployed EMS. This deployment is following the hurricane damage to the area around St. Petersburg Florida.
Tonight, around 8 PM, all of the above named units were already working in St. Petersburg. Half of the units are evacuating a nursing home and others are traveling to hopsitals for evacuations.
THANK YOU to these agencies for your willingness to leave your homes and families and deploy to the hurricane stricken areas to help save lives. You are dedicated and a true definition of service above self.
