You should know Kevin Jackson’s name.

You should know it because his name, and his situation, should matter to you. It should inform the way you consider discrimination, the way you think about the upper machinations of government and power. It should help shape the way you view the world in Alabama in 2024.

Because Kevin Jackson is getting chewed up and spit out by a system that isn’t designed to protect him, because he dared to question the way the system works, the way the powerful made decisions and the way some of his fellow city employees behaved.

And, oh, yeah, also because he said he missed his friend.

And that happens here - not saying in the Fire Department, but in our local government. There were two people who were long time employee's of Houston County. They suffered pressure to retire or resign. And because one Houston County Commissioner's feelings.

You see, the voters "think" they know these elected people and department heads. But you don't really know them. On the surface they quote scripture but deep within they are wicked power hungry people who want to demonstrate they have power.

And Houston County Commission Chairman Brandon Shoupe has been lying. And I am letting him because his comments creates damages of which he will pay for in the upcoming future. And those comments have been saved.

The attorney for Houston County, Press Register. He is the son in law of former 20th Judicial Circuit District Attorney Pat Jones. Both Jones and Register were in the office with long time Attorney Gary Sherrer who had to retire because he lost his eye sight. Then Jones was elected District Attorney. And Register had to have clients so Houston County employed him as their contract attorney. Most municipalities that used Gary Sherrer and then Register no longer use Register. That is how Houston County got Register as attorney.

In the City of Dothan personnel manual they have a clause like "other". Whatever the department head feels "other" is, and that is used to give employees a major offense when someone within the bowels of the Dothan Civic Center want someone punished or terminated. And the five member Dothan Personnel Board, bet you probably can not name one employee that the Personnel Board did not hold up the department heads suspension, demotion, or termination.

WHY DO YOU THINK PEOPLE LIKE BRANDON SHOUPE, RICKY HERRING do not like me? After James Ivey was promoted to Captain, of which I supported, it depended on who was standing around if he would even speak to me. This was before being elected County Commissioner.

But when you hold them up close and watch as close as I do, that's when you see who they really are. I have been in the political game/law enforcement game/court game since 1977. When I started Nathan Mathis was Houston County Commission Chairman. So I have been around for a long time.

At age 16 I was sitting with then Dothan Police Chief Kater Williams on Junior Food Stores on surveillance when they were being robbed. I have been involved in some major investigations, such as when the Napier Field Police Chief murdered the Napier Field Mayor. When a lady was thrown in a field off HIghway 231 South and did not know who she was. About the time we found out her identity, her husband was employed with the City of Dothan. He left and was apprehended in Texas.

While not as an investigator but with the investigators when a train was traveling down the railroad tracks off East Main Street and a man jumped on the train and shot and killed the train engineer and robbed him. Was on the scene when a man killed three family members and wounded three family members.

When Wiregrass Commons Mall was Billy's Trailer Park and on the corner was Max Jones Farm Equipment Auction. There was Billy's Steak Pit across the street next to Adams Motel.

I am saying this, around this group of elected public servants is not my first Rodeo.

According to an attorney in a deposition where I was the private investigator, the attorney asked my clients daughter if she was aware there was an active investigation of Rickey Stokes into the murder of his parents. I filed a bar complaint against that attorney. She replied she was told by the FBI there was an active investigation of Rickey Stokes into the murder of his parents. So I responded with the copy of the death certificate where my dad died in 1985 of lung cancer and a picture of my mother holding up that day's Dothan Eagle with the question, can you please tell me when my parents were murdered? The attorney's response was she was mistaken about the victim but it was a double murder/suicide.

WRONG - I have never been under an investigation for a murder. And my mother was still alive at that time!!!

I was the private investigator for a major client in the State of Alabama that stepped on some major people's toes to include former Alabama Governor Bob Riley, then the Alabama Department of Public Safety, the FBI and other powerful people.

So, not my first Rodeo. And I am not worried about Houston County Commission Chairman Brandon Shoupe's comments and allegations towards me. I have not done anything wrong but work to make sure when you dialed 911 in the 130 square mile foot prints of Cottonwood Rescue, you got a timely ambulance.

So what happened to this Decatur Fireman, I would love to handle that investigation. Because I know where and how these people hide the bones and how to seek them out!!!!
