HOUSTON COUNTY:   RSN wishes to thank you, the registered voters which took time from your day on Tuesday and exercised the freedom of which men and women have fought and died for - that being our right to vote.


There has been a lot said concerning Local Amendment 1 which was the selection of those who were to serve on Southeast Health Board of Directors.


You, the registered voters read what was provided, listened to what was said, and I beleive made an informed decision on the issue.


The final results, you, the registered voters of Houston County, 64.43% of you voted to keep the selection process as is for the members of the Southeast Health Authority Board of Directors. Then 35.56% of the registered voters of Houston County voted to change the appointment process of the board of directors.


In the end, the process that has been in effect for decades in appointing the Board of Directors of Southeast Health will remain the same.


Now, all sides need to be adults, Christians, be leaders and not vindictive, and do what is right in the service of the people they are elected and/or appointed to serve.
