TROY UNIVERSITY:     12:25 PM    "The following message has been sent from Troy University:   There is an active criminal situation that requires you to shelter in place. If possible, secure yourself inside a room or building. Further information be sent out when possible. In the event you need emergency assistance, Call 911. If you are not on campus, please find a location off campus unitl the shelter in place is lifted. Specifically Newman 100 and 200. Shelter in room immediately. If you are not in Newman avoid the area. Stand by for further".


RSN has checked. UNCONFIRMED with Troy University Police ( do not know the Chief's name or contact information ), but confirmed with reliable sources ... someone thought they seen a guy walking around dorm. Law Enforcement everywhere but so far nothing has been found.


The message is for the safety of students and guests until law enforcement is comfortable there are no threats. And from the sources this is a case where someone "saw" but nothing has been found.
