HOUSTON COUNTY:     Some have asked about the sermon which I mentioned in the article last night with the title "Commissioner Are Lying And On The Way To Splitting The Church".


What prompted the article was this sermon, which was followed the next day a post from D3 Commissioner Ricky Herring on Facebook. The post was a poorly edited audio clip of about 5 minutes of a conversation with fellow Deacon Taylor Knight who resigned from the Southeast Health Board so D3 Herring Could make the appointment he wanted.


Then followed by Houston County Commission Chairman Brandon Shoupe on WDIG AM 1450 with Larry McKee on Monday where he said Taylor Knight was lying.


D3 Commissioner Ricky Herring and Taylor Knight are active Deacons at Memphis Baptist Church. And current Southeast Health Board Member Brownie Browning is or has been a deacon at Memphis Baptist Church and currently attends Memphis Baptist Church.


Both Taylor Knight and Brownie Browning have signs VOTE NO on Local Amendment 1 in their yards and Browning also has one at his business.


Local Amendment 1. pushed by D3 Commissioner Ricky Herring and Chairman Brandon Shoupe is a total power grab by these two.


RSN did not bring the church into this issue. But this the sermon referenced which was delivered in the evening services on October 20. 2024.
