EUFAULA:    3:04 PM     RSN has received information from Eufaula Alabama.


Today RSN has learned that 2 Eufaula Police Officers assigned to Criminal Investigators resigned today and 1 Eufaula Police Patrl Officer has resigned today.


At 2:59 PM RSN reached out to the Eufaula Police Chief but there was no answer. A voice mail message requesting a call back and a text message was also sent to his cell phone number.


The Barbour County 911 Board sent a letter to Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall requesting an investigation into some 911 equipment being tampered with and possibly some information removed from it. At this time RSN is not aware of the answer from the Alabama Attorney General.


The call in question, RSN has learned might not be an actual call into 911 but rather a female complaintant coming to the Eufaula Police Department or to a Eufaula Police Officer concerning a domestic dispute in the Country Club subdivision in Eufaula. The residence of which the alleged domestic call was to is reported to be a high ranking official of the City of Eufaula. The high ranking official has hire/fire authority over the Eufaula Chief of Police, if the alleged information is accurate.


Before the letter was sent from the Barbour County 911 Board to the Alabama Attorney General, RSN heard of the information of the call and the data being removed from the 911 system. The Eufaula Police chief denied that information was removed or a call to the high ranking officials residence. RSN has since learned that it might not have been an actual 911 call but rather the complaintant coming to the police department or a Eufaula Police Officer with the complaint and then the call being dispatched over the police radio.


At the time of this writing it is unknown why the three resignations of the Criminal Investigators and Patrol Officers of Eufaula Police Department.


The 911 communications system and equipment is operated from the Eufaula Police Department.


RSN investigators are on the ground in Eufaula on the bloodhound scent!!!
