MADRID: 4:38 PM Houston County 911 dispatched Madrid Volunteer Fire Department, Hodgesville Volunteer Fire Department, Rehobeth Fire - Rescue, Houston County Sheriff Deputies and ALEA - Troopers to a motor vehicle accident.
The location of the accident was Highway 231 South and Decatur Road in Madrid.
The accident involved a Ford F-150 and a SUV. There was major damage to the Ford F-150 and SUV.
The first arriving Rehobeth Ambulance transported a child under "trauma alert" to Southeast Health. The injuries were not life threatening but due to the mechanism of injury transported trauma alert.
The second arriving Rehobeth Ambulance transported two patient, non-emergency, to a Dothan hospital.
Madrid Voluteer Fire Chief Chan Elliot, Hodgesville Volunteer Fire Chief Beau Deathridge, and Rehobeth Fire - Rescue Chief Nick Floyd were on the scene. Houston County Sheriff Deputy Parrish and Deputy Duke were on the scene.
Houston County 911 did a great job in getting all emergency units required rolling and informed of what the persons reported to them when they called 911.
ALEA - Troopers Cpl. Smith and Trooper Goad are in charge of the accident investigation.
