ASHFORD:     5:01 PM   Houston County 911 dispatched Ashford Fire, Cowarts Volunteer Fire, Ashford Rescue to a structure fire at 2321 Battles Road in Ashford.


Houston County 911 reports flames visible on the back porch.


Ashford Fire units were first on the scene. It was not long before Cowarts Volunteer Fire followed. The fire was extinguised quickly and not much damage.


Gordon Police Chief Keith Gray responded and assisted the fire departments. Unknown what law enforcement were on the scene other than Gordon.


QUICK RESPONSE ... good job.
