PORT ST. JOE FL:     This afternoon I traveled to Port Saint Joe Florida for the Celebration of Life Services of Richard Dunham O'Donnell.

Richard O'Donnell, a native of Dothan, passed away September 28, 2024 after a brief illness. At the time of all of his hospitalization and his passing, Richard was surrounded by his loving family. Richard's wife, Estelane Stokes O'Donnell, son Richard Stokes O'Donnell and daughter Sydnee JoHannah O'Donnell.

Richard was employed by the St. Joe Paper Mill, retired from Gulf Power, and worked for the City of Port St. Joe Florida.

The celebration of life Memorial Service was held this afternoon at the First United Methodist Church in Port St. Joe Florida.

Richard enjoyed life. He looked for the positive things in life and not the negative things in life. He enjoyed life and loved his family very much. Richard was an extremely intelligent person who enjoyed spending his time with his wife, children and children.

The Senior Pastor, Rev. Dave Barkalow remarked when speaking with the family about any scripture that was Richard's favorite, before the Pastor got the question out, Estelane gave Romans 8:28 - "And we know that in all things God works for the goodj of those who love him, whoi have been calledk according to his purpose."

The Pastor, when preaching, is looking out from all of the windows from the worship center at the beautiful ocean view. To his benefit, the congregation's back is to the ocean. Otherwise he might have a hard time mainting their focus.

A beautiful tribute to a great man, Richard O'Donnoll. He was presceded in death by his parents, Richard and Gloria O'Donnoll. Ms. Gloria served many years with the National Peanut Festival.
