6:29 PM. Dothan Police Activates Blue Lights - Person Does Not Stop

DOTHAN:       6:05 PM.    Dothan Police Patrol Officer observed a vehicle running a traffic light and almost causing an accident. 

The Dothan Police Patrol Officer activated his blue lights and siren and the suspect vehicle failed to STOP and sped up.

6:06 PM.    The vehicle traveled east on Carroll Street traveling at speeds of about 40 miles per hour. This was officially called a vehicle pursuit. The vehicle turned left on Madison Avenue, left on Roberts Street.

6:07 PM.   The suspect vehicle then turned on Selma Street, traveling west. The suspect traveled to Stadium Street, then to Tate Drive at Rip Hewes Stadium where turned left on Tate Drive.

6:10 PM.   Dothan Police had the vehicle stopped and suspect in custody at Rip Hewes Stadium. UNCONFIRMED, Dothan Police possibly pit the suspect vehicle.

The suspect vehicle ran over some of the concrete medians in the parking lot of Rip Hewes Stadium.

6:35 PM.   Dothan Fire Department and Pilcher Ambulance arrived on the scene. The fire and EMS were called by Dothan Police to the scene due to difficulty breathing. Dothan Police have information the suspect possibly swallowed drugs.

The suspect will be taken into custody by Dothan Police Department. The suspect was possibly transported to the hospital prior to transport to the jail.
