DOTHAN:    On August 1st, 2024, Engine 1 C-Shift, exemplified leadership, courage and skill with excellent patient care. Engine 1’s crew responded to a call for a patient in cardiac arrest at their residence. The crew arrived on the scene where CPR had already been initiated by a Home Health Nurse.

Taking immediate command of the situation, Engine 1 swiftly performed Advanced Life Support interventions. Their quick actions resulted in the successful Return of Spontaneous Circulation (ROSC) while still on scene, enabling rapid transport to the Emergency Room for critical care.

The professionalism and expertise displayed by this crew were instrumental in achieving a positive outcome for the patient, leading to significant improvement and eventual discharge from the hospital.
