HARTFORD: Today Hartford Police Chief Pete Markow tendered his notice to the City of Hartford, resigning as Hartford Police Chief.
Hartford Police Chief Pete Markow is working a notice before his resignation becomes effective.
Anyone who is certified as a law enforcement officer with some experience interested in becoming Chief of Police the City of Hartford will be posting an announcement in the immediate future.
Last evening Hartford Police Chief Pete Markow and a member of the Hartford City Council got into a major arguement during the Hartford City Council Meeting. Chief Markow lost his temper in the meeting towards the Council Member. There was a motion for immmediate termination which failed to pass on a 3 to 2 vote with Chief Markow keeping his job.
However today Chief Markow submitted his resigned.
Last evening the Hartford Mayor and City Council voted to hire a new City Clerk at a salary of $ 50,000.00. There is an opening for a Superintendent position in the City of Hartford. The founding fathers of Hartford had the wisdom to have their own electrical service like the City of Dothan. And some staff needed with the electrical department.
