When a law enforcement officer flips the switch and activates the blue lights and siren, STOP !!!

If you fail to do so, in Alabama, the failure to stop is a FELONY. The penalty is 1 year and 1 day, up!!!

Dothan Police Patrol a few minutes ago activated the blue and red lights and siren and the person in front of the blue lights and siren apparently felt that meant - HIT THE GAS PEDAL. 

But it actually means, HIT THE BRAKE PEDAL AND PULL TO THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE ROAD AND STOP. Keep your hands visible, and if dark turn your interrior lights on and hands on the steering wheel where they are clearly visible for the law enforcement officer.

But NOOOOOOO, this dude hit the gas, and crashed into a black Mustang and came to a stop on the side road at Highland and Ross Clark Circle. Caused damage to his car and the black Mustang. No one was injured.

So the driver now has, a traffic citation for the primary offense the officer went to pull him over for, of which I do not know, a felony of Attempt To Elude, Dothan Police Vice Division and Patrol Division searching his vehicle, and other offenses.

When the driver quite possibly would have gotten a couple traffic citations and been on his way home. Now he will go to Dothan City Jail, then transferred to Houston County Jail. He will be required to make bond, A - Advantage Bonding 334-712-9988, then appear in District Court before the Honorable District Court Judge Benjamin Lewis. The person will have to hire an attorney or get a court appointed attorney. The case will then go to a Houston County Grand Jury, and if indicted ( which is easy and simple ), then have an arraignment before a Circuit Judge. Then go to trial or enter a guilty plea.

Would not stopping a traffic citation be much simplier?

Anyway, here he goes to the Will Benny Motel and then the Donald Valenza Hilton!!!
