COWARTS: 7:52 PM Houston County 911 dispatched Cowarts Volunteer Fire Department, Ashford Rescue, Houston County Sheriff Deputies, and ALEA - Trooper Goad to a motor vehicle accident with injuries.
The location was on Highway 84 East and Eddins Road.
Ashford Rescue transported the injured to Southeast Health with non life threatening injuries.
It appeared a vehicle which was traveling east on Highway 84 left the right side of the roadway, went between a telephone pole and guidewire, traveled along the side of the road, between another light pole and marker poles, then struck a car sitting at the stop sign on Eddins Road.
The driver is beleived to have possibly blacked out.
ALEA - Trooper Goad is in charge of the accident investigation. Cowarts Mayor Randy Rowland was on the scene with Cowarts Volunteer Fire Chief Roger Nall and members of Cowarts Volunteer Fire Department.
