DOTHAN:      Tonight while I was eating in Ashford I received a telephone call from someone who worked with me that was in the Checker's parking lot on Montgomery. The person who worked with me had locked their keys in the car.

When I left Ashford I came to the office in downtown Dothan to get the extra key. Well when I went to get my office key it was at home.

I went onto Checker's to tell the co-worker and they did not have to wait in the cold. I was sitting behind the car waiting on the co-worker and a wrecker drove up. Was not paying attention to anything and was typing an article.

The wrecker service, very nice, asked was I connected to the car. I replied yes and explained what was going on. The wrecker driver went to explain to the female manager who said they wanted the car towed. They said it had been here since 4:30 PM which was a lie because when I left the office, after 4:30 PM, the co-worker was at the office.

I asked the wrecker driver could I talk to the manager and he said yes. I went to the window where no one was at. I knocked on the window and a female yelled. I introduced myself, nicely, and explained what was going on. She said that her General Manager wanted the car moved. I asked if they could get the General Manager.

The female stuck her head out the door to the wrecker driver and said said they wanted the vehicle towed. I then asked the wrecker driver did have equipment to unlock the door. The wrecker driver did. So I asked him if he would unlock it and he did. The price to unlock the vehicle was $ 120.00.

The wrecker driver unlocked the vehicle and I paid him.

Checker's called Dothan Police on me. Because I took their picture. And the manager asked Dothan Police to put a trespassing on me at Checker's.

Now all of this because of someone locking their keys in the car. And I drove from Ashford to Dothan to get the extra keys from the office, but did not have my office key.

The tax records reflect the property is owned by Herndon Realty Company, LLC.,  102 N. Court Square in Abbeville. The restaurant is located at 3107 Montgomery Highway in Dothan, Al.

So watch ever doing business with Checker's Restaurants. Because if you lock your keys up they will have your car towed. And the female who works there is a hateful female with sorry customer relations skills. They do not have to worry about the tresspass because I would not ever go back to Checker's again.

NOTE:    I went to Checker's only because a co-worker locked the keys in the car. His car was tore up and he drove the company car. Drove all the way from Ashford to downtown Dothan to get the key, only to realize I did not have my office key. So I drove all the way to Montgomery Highway to get the co-worker because it was cold and to let Checker's know would be back. And they are rude, obnoxious, call the wrecker and cost me              $ 120.00 to get the wrecker driver to unlock the car. Such a welcoming business that appreciates customers. It does not bother me to be trespassed from there. What bother's me is how the business treats people. Now the pictures were taken after the female manager was rude and told the wrecker driver to tow the vehicle. 

It was not on my TO DO list to even go to Checker's tonight. Just someone needed help.

In 2020 the Herndon family, which is a GREAT family, sold the Checker's Restaurant. Herndon Realty owns the property, not the restaurant.

Alabama Quick Service Capital Partners, LLC is the franchise for that Checker's; they operate it. That company is located near Orlando FLorida and they fanchise all of the Checker's in Dothan and Ozark.

Today several text messages about the unsanitary conditions of the restaurant. Those being - no hairnets and no gloves. So hair could fall in your food and where have their hands been prior to the preparation of your food. Had they just been to the bathroom? Not saying they had, guess will never know. Hopefully the people they were preparing the food for had no hair or other residue. But look at the pictures!
