Coffee County native, longtime legislator Jimmy Holley dies

ELBA—Jimmy Holley, a longtime Alabama State Legislator and Coffee County native, died Monday at the Elba Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
He was 80 years old.
Hailing from Coffee County, he was first elected as a representative in 1974. He served for 20 years there before serving district 31 as a senator for 6 terms.
Holley helped secure money to rebuild schools in Elba after flooding and a tornado in Enterprise.
Hayes Funeral Home will facilitate Holley's funeral.
