Connie Sabrina Forbes, age 54, passed away Tuesday morning, October 15, 2024. She was born June 28, 1970, in Dothan, Alabama. She was the cherished only daughter of the late Joseph and Linda Zamboni. She resided in Slocomb, Alabama, where she spent her childhood and attended school. Connie was a loving mother, a faithful wife, and a devoted grandmother. She was a loyal friend and a dedicated daughter. She spent her life putting the needs of others before her own in almost every way.

She volunteered with numerous fire and rescue squads over the span of her life and was the president of the Daleville Jaycees for a time. When she wasn’t working or volunteering, she found joy in attending the various sporting events of her many grandchildren, homesteading, painting, camping, fishing, reading, and tending to all her pets. Connie was loved by so many people.

She had an extraordinary ability to be there for others in their time of need, offering support and love without hesitation. She loved wholeheartedly and would give you the shirt off her back if you needed it. She was spunky and marched to the beat of her own drum. Her passing will be mourned deeply by all who knew and loved her. The memory of Connie will remain in the hearts and minds of all of her family, friends, and those who were privileged enough to have met her.

Connie is survived by her husband of almost 33 years, Danny Forbes; her three children, Douglas Howell, Kylee Chavers (Johnnie Ray Chavers II), and Gina Godby (Cameron Godby); and her eight grandchildren, Kaiden, Nathan, Ember, John Christian, Ella, and Beau Chavers, and Chris and CJ Godby. Connie will be missed greatly.

A time of visitation will be held at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, October 19, 2024, at Magnolia Funeral Home, 507 W. Main Street, Hartford, Alabama. Funeral services will begin at 5:00 p.m. in the chapel, with Brother Johnnie Chavers officiating.

Arrangements and services are under the direction of Magnolia Funeral Home of Hartford, Alabama.
