Defuniak Spring Woman Arrested for Mathaphetamine Following Traffic Stop in Northern Walton County

WALTON COUNTY:A DeFuniak Springs woman is arrested for trafficking methamphetamine following a traffic stop in Northern Walton County early Sunday morning.
During the stop on 331 N near State Line Road it was learned the driver, Christopher Thames, 50, of Florala, did not have a valid driver’s license, and the passenger, Mary Goodman, 43, of Juniper Avenue had a warrant for failure to appear.
While conducting a search of the vehicle, deputies discovered drug paraphernalia and 25.6 grams of methamphetamine.
Goodman told deputies the narcotics and paraphernalia were hers.
Goodman was charged with trafficking methamphetamine over 14 grams. Thames was arrested for driving without a license. The vehicle was towed.
Both were transported and booked into the Walton County Jail. Thames was given a $500 bond and Goodman was given no bond for failure to appear and a $50,000 bond on the trafficking in methamphetamine charge.
