The Enterprise Police Department shared some safety tips on their Facebook to keep Halloween scary in the fun way, not the dangerous way.

FOR WALKERS:

Walk, don’t run! Look both ways TWICE before you cross the road.

Use reflective tape, flashlights, or glowsticks to help you see and make you more visible to motorists.

Teach your kids about stranger danger!

Adults should know where kids are going. An adult should accompany younger children while trick-or-treating.

Check candy for choking hazards and allergy concerns.

FOR DRIVERS:

Eliminate distractions. Keep your eyes on the road.

Drive slowly, especially in residential areas.

Be alert for children who may dart out.

Double-check and triple-check before making turns.
