Judge gives Pearl Lounge killer lengthy sentence

DOTHAN—A Dothan man convicted in the murder of a 51-year-old Geneva man outside a nightclub was ordered to serve 99 years in prison.


Dekeivon O’Keith Lawton, 24, was handed the sentence Thursday.


Dothan Police say Roger Shane Felder, 51, of Geneva, was shot outside the Pearl Lounge and Grill when he tried to break up a fight in March 2023.


Lawton was among three charged with shooting Felder.


Dothan City Commissioners later voted to close down the Pearl Lounge and Grill due to the amount of violence.
