DOTHAN—Peanut festival season has officially arrived!


Tonight kicks off the Miss National Peanut Festival Pageant in Dothan.


44 young ladies will compete to take home the crown, starting with the Miss National Peanut Festival Preliminary Pageant Friday at 6 p.m. at the Civic Center in Dothan. 


Tickets to attend are $30 for floor seats or $25 for balcony seats for the preliminary pageant. 


Finals are on Saturday, October 18 at 4 p.m., also at the Civic Center in Dothan.


There are no floor seats available—but there are still seats available for the balcony, priced at $25.


All attendees must have a ticket regardless of age. Attendees under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.


The Dothan Civic Center enforces strict polices.


- Clear bags no larger than 12x12x12 only. Purses, large wallets, clutches, backpacks and fanny packs are not allowed. 


- No weapons of any kinds are allowed, including, but not limited to, guns and knives. 


- No outside food or beverages are allowed to be brought in the building. 


- No re-entry to the building once you are allowed inside.


- Professional audio and video equipment are not allowed.


- Smoking and vaping are not allowed.
