HOUSTON COUNTY—The Better Health Care for Houston County PAC shelled out over two thousand dollars for advertising, according to online documents.
In the most recent campaign filing report, the PAC in support of Local Amendment 1 paid the Montgomery-based company Strategy Management $2,277 for “advertising.”
According to the campaign finance report, the date of expenditure was October 25—the same day RSN discovered the PAC and contacted Strategy Management for more information.
The report does not list any additional contributions in the October 19 to October 25 period.
The finance report was electronically signed by J.W. Howell.
After paying for advertising, the PAC still has $6,734 left in its wallet.
The CEO of Strategy Management and Houston County Commission Chairman Brandon Shoupe both declined to reveal who created the PAC, but Shoupe did say he donated money to the PAC at the most recent Commission press conference.
The next weekly report from the PAC is due on November 4, the day before Election Day.
