DOTHAN—After the Little Miss and Miss National Peanut Festival pageants and the Cubmobile race over the weekend, the city of Dothan is getting ready to "go nuts" for the National Peanut Festival.


Festivities this week begin with the Peanut Recipe Contest and Cake and Cookie Decorating Contest on Thursday.


The NPF Parade is on Saturday, October 26 at 3:30 p.m.


The first day of the festival is on Friday, November 1, with gates opening at 4 p.m. Friday is First Responder Friday; first responders can get in for free with a 2024 ID.
