HOLMES COUNTY: On November 12, 2024, Holmes County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a local store regarding a suspicious vehicle possibly there to conduct a drug transaction.
One of the occupants was identified as Dallas Payne, who had previously been trespassed from the property. The vehicle left the store before deputies arrived but was later stopped on Highway 90.
The driver, identified as David Waddell, was found to have a suspended license and was taken into custody. A female passenger, Christina Cadenhead, informed deputies that there was a controlled substance in the vehicle, which Payne then handed over to deputies.
During the stop, Cadenhead experienced a medical episode, and EMS transported her to the hospital.
Payne was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance. Waddell faces a charge of driving with a suspended license. Warrants will be issued for Cadenhead for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
