Texas Man Holds Knife to Woman’s Throat

OKALOOSA COUNTY :A Texas man has been charged with putting a knife to a woman’s neck and threatening her life while she sat on a bench at 300 Mountain Drive in Destin October 31st.
The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office has charged 58-year old Paul Besinger of San Antonio Texas with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
The victim says Besinger approached her from behind, grabbed her by the hair, and put a knife to her neck, screaming that he was going to kill her. The victim attempted to grab the knife, then ran away while screaming for help. A witness went and placed himself in between the victim and Besinger.
An OCSO deputy who arrived stopped Besinger at gunpoint. During transport to the Okaloosa County Jail Besinger said ‘I’m glad I didn’t kill her.” He was reportedly angry that the victim had had his vehicle towed.
The victim suffered a small laceration on her neck, chin, and right hand.
