NEWVILLE:   10:53AM  Henry County 911 dispatched Headland Fire-Rescue, Newville Volunteer Fire, Henry County sheriff's department, and ALEA -state trooper Spencer Adkinson- motor vehicle accident with injuries. On HWY 431 north in front of the yeast plant in Newville.

Reports are a two-vehicle accident involving a semi-truck. 

There is a chemical spill reported of about 400 gallons, which at this time RSN does not know what the chemical is. 

At this time all south bound lanes on 431 are closed. 

Henry County Emergency Management director Matt Hatcher and Henry County Sheriff Eric Blankenship are on the scene.

UPDATED AT 11:49AM 

Accident involved passenger car and John Deere tractor. The chemical spill was not what thought it was. It was a tank on the back of the tractor. Ferguson Wrecker Service Heavy Duty Wrecker and Tate Wrecker Services are at the scene and all lanes will be opened shortly.
