HENRY COUNTY:     10:14 PM.    In the 8000 block of Henry County Road 97, a firearm assault.

Abbeville Rescue responded along with Henry County Sheriff Department.

Abbeville Rescue is transporting the victim to Survival Flight which has landed near the scene. Reports are the victim has two gunshot wounds. Initial reports do not believe life threatening.

One Henry County Sheriff Criminal Investigator and Henry County Sheriff Deputies on the scene. Another Henry County Sheriff Criminal Investigator is responding to the Dothan hospital awaiting arrival of the firearm assault victim.

Henry County Sheriff Eric Blankenship is at the Sheriff Office typing a search warrant.

Henry County Sheriff Eric Blankenship, Henry County Sheriff Patrol, Henry County Sheriff Criminal Investigators have cleared the scene of the firearm assault. They have made an arrest of the person believed responsible. No one on the loose.

At this time it appears to be a domestic related incident.
