DALEVILLE:   Last evening there was a murder in Daleville. 

Dale County Coroner John Cawley has identified the victim as Stephanie McCray of Daleville, age 37.

Daleville Department of Public Safety - Police - are in charge of the investigation. The Dalevile Department of Public Safety Director John Crawford is in charge. We have not reached out to him yet figuring he was out most of the night and giving him some time this morning before we bother him.

UNCONFIRMED by law enforcement because they were out all night.

From what RSN understands, again UNCONFIRMED by law enforcement, a female came to the drive thru at McDonald's in Daleville. She told them she needed help and is beleived to have pulled to the front of McDonald's.

UNCONFIRMED by law enforcement a black male subject, apparently known to the victim, came to the right window of her vehicle. And then what RSN understands, again UNCONFIRMED by law enforcement at this time, pulled a weapon shooting the female several times.

Daleville Department of Public Safety - EMS Division - responded and transported the female to Medical Center Enterprise where she was prononced dead.

Daleville Department of Public Safety - Police Division - has issued a BOLO on a possible suspect. Daleville Department of Public Safety - Police Division - is in charge of the murder investigation.

The Director of the Department of Public Safety - Chief of Police is John Crawford. A very seasoned, experienced and professional law enforcement investigator with extensive experience and I am sure has been up all night and probably still out. RSN has not attempted to contact him at this time.

CORRECTION:   The female pulled into the drive thru at McDonald's stating she needed help. The male subject was already in the car with the female.

After she said that, in the drive thru and in front of the McDonald's Staff, the black male shot the female multiple times, then exited the vehicle and fled on foot.

A BOLO ( Be On Look Out ) has been issued for a black male, with dreads.

Anyone with information is urged to call 334-598-4442, You do not have to give your name, but call Daleville Department of Public Safety - Police Division - and provide any information that you might have.
