ZOMBIE CHASE 5K AND PET COSTUME CONTEST

DOTHAN - If you’re in for a scary good time, join the family-friendly Zombie Chase 5k and Pet Costume Contest, benefiting the Dothan Special Olympics and Alabama Law Enforcement Alliance for Peer Support.


The event will be at the Westgate Tennis Center on October 19, 2024. Gates open at 2:30 p.m., the race begins at 4:30 p.m., and the last runner will be in by 6 p.m. The zombie pet costume contest is at 4:00 p.m. 


Zombies will try to capture flags from runners. The three zombies with the most flags at the end of the race will get a prize.


All runners will get a medal, and runners who cross the finish line with their flags will get an additional prize.


Runners of all ages are welcome. Zombies must be 16 or older unless accompanied by a parent or guardian.


Winners of the pet costume contest will be awarded prize baskets for the following categories: Best Costume (Dog), Best Costume (Cat), and Overall Scariest Costume (All).
