HARTFORD – GENEVA COUNTY: 04:00 AM Recently the Geneva County Republican Party held a candidate forum for Alabama State Senator and Geneva County Sheriff. This is the forum for Geneva County Sheriff.
Candidates David Hall and Tim Forehand gave opening statements and then answered some questions. At the close each candidate was allowed closing statements.
You will hear candidate Tim Forehand mention RSN and attempt to call RSN out. A comment was made by RSN concerning Forehand’s record. After the debate Forehand came to Stokes and some man acted like he was attempting to hold Forehand back from jumping on Stokes.The comment made by Stokes was something like Forehand had more baggage than a airplane. Forehand made a comment towards Stokes and my reply was that I was not running for Sheriff. Forehand then walked off.
Weeks ago, somehow, Candidate David Hall found out that RSN had information on Forehand and this information was about to be published. Hall contacted RSN and asked us not to publish any negative information on Forehand. RSN honored David Hall’s wish. So Forehand claims that David Hall was spreading information on Forehand is totally false, without merit, and RSN can comment first hand about that.
To the people of Geneva County, you do not need Tim Forehand as your Sheriff. Forehand commented that I needed to stay out of the Geneva County Sheriff race. For the record, my mother was from Geneva County, my parents met in Geneva County. My grandfather was Walter Helms who taught school in Slocomb. I have relatives in Geneva County and they have roads named after them in Geneva County. And I have a business in Geneva County.
