HEADLAND: On Sunday Headland Police and Headland Fire – Rescue responded to an edged weapon assaulton Hollon Street in Headland. They found a male subject with 5 or more stab wounds.
Headland Fire – Rescue transported the subject, trauma alert, emergency to SOutheast Health. Dothan Fire Engine 9 ( Technology Drive ) was requested for additional advanced medical treatment. Headland intercepted by Dothan and an immediate boarding Headland ambulance and off to Southeast Health.
After EMS treating and Emergey Room staff treating patient, other physicians and nurse treating he was placed in Intensive Care on Sunday.
On Monday Henry County Coroner Derek Wright was called to Southeast Health where the stabb victim died. Headland Police are in charge of the investigatioon.
UNOFFICIALLY RSN understands the stab victim was at the residence or whereabouts of the ex girlfriend. She had her new boyfirend. The stab victim is repoted to have assaulted the make and female, reported to have put lighter fluid of both the male and female threatening to set them on fire, UNOFFICALL reports are the stab victim continued to asault the female and whch time UNOFFICAL reports are she stabbed the male subject multiple times while the assault was in progress.
At this time no charges have been filed. The UNOFFICAL reports are it is considered self defense.
As is normal the death will be presented to the next Henry County GRAND JURY. They will decide if self defense or should charges be filed. The tetimony before Grand Jury is secret and can not be disclosed. If no indictment then case over.
