DOTHAN:     04:22 AM.   Dothan 911 dispatched multiple Dothan Police, Dothan Fire and Pilcher Ambulance units to 2810 Fortner Street – Biltmore Apartments in Dothan.

Dothan Fire and Pilcher Ambulance were required to stage while law enforcement cleared the scene and deemed it safe for Fire and EMS to enter.

A total of three gunshot victims were located and transported to Southeast Health and Flowers Hospital. Dothan Criminal Investigation Division and Dothan Police Crime Scene Investigators are on the scene along with multiple Dothan Police Patrol Division.

It is now close to shift change so there has been an increased patrol units presence as day shift arrives to relieve night shift in securing the scene. Currently all is under control.

UNCONFIRMED at this time but none of the injuries are reported to be life threatening. UNCONFIRMED but pretty sure there is no gunman on the loose. For unknown reasons two of the the three were shooting at each other according to sources.

NOTE:     The history of Biltmore Estates has been one of calm. There was a incident within the last year at Biltmore Estates, an apartment complex, but, from my memory, it is not a place where there has been a lot of history of problems.

And before anyone gets started. The shooting is primarily a society and culture issue. There is absolutely no way possible that law enforcement could prevent such because out of 70,000 residents of Dothan, how in the world could law enforcement have known these were going to start shooting at each other. Law Enforcement can apply pressure on the community in a whole, and last evening they did. Because between Dothan Police and Houston County Sheriff Department, I would venture to guess upwards 60 law enforcement officers were on duty last night to keep the community safe and calm.

UPDATED @ 10:55 AM

One of the two shoot was the aggressor and responsible. So no gunman on the loose.
