THANKS TO DOTHAN FIRE FROM REX LUMBER
A huge thank you to the firefighters and emergency personnel who responded to a fire at Regent Renewables Pellet Mill last night! đâ¤ď¸
A mechanical failure caused a spark that ignited combustible dust within the system. Thankfully, the mill’s fire detection and containment systems worked exactly as designed, keeping the fire contained to a small portion of the process. Most importantly, no one was injured!
We are incredibly grateful to the crews from Lakewood Engine 2, Southside Engine 4, Eastwood Ladder 5, along with Rehab and Incident Command personnel and two battalion chiefs, who responded and worked to safely extinguish the fire.
Their quick response, professionalism, and dedication to protecting our community deserve tremendous recognition!
Regent Renewables is part of the Rex Lumber family, and we’re thankful for everyone who helped protect our people and operations. The mill anticipates resuming operations Wednesday morning.
