DOTHAN: 08:26 AM Dothan 911 dispatched Dothan Fire Engine 1 ( Central ), Dothan Fire Engine 5 ( Eastside ), Dothan Fire Engine 9 ( Technology ), Dothan Truck 3 ( Whatley Drive ), Pilcher Ambulance and Dothan Police to a structure fire, 1350 Columbia Highway, Integrated Power Service. Reports to Dothan 911 flames and smoke from smoke stack.
On arrival smoke was coming from the smoke stack. The primary engine company advised all incoming fire engines go to Level 1 Staging – which means be prepared to connect to a water source and begin an offensive attack – but wait.
All employees had evacuated the structure. Dothan Fire investigated. The ladder truck company arrived and fireman were awaiting decision if needed to enter from roof to make sure no fire in overhead.
Dothan Fire Battalion Chief Harrison was in command of the scene. Dothan Fire Deputy Chief David Hasty and Pete Webb are on the scene.
There is no structure fire.
08:44 AM Dothan Fire Engine 5 and Engine 9 released from the scene to return to service.
08:42 AM Dothan Fire Battalion Chief Harrison had the truck company come to the westside of the building to look at the roof.
