TAYLOR: 08:39 AM Just when you think things are bad in Taylor under the leadership of Mayor Robert Lamb, well, they get worse.
A 7 – 8 year employee recently quit. While RSN has not spoken with her, from informed sources, she had enough of Mayor Robert Lamb. Now this employee was in the recent Taylor City Council work session on re-writing the Taylor Personnel Rules and Regulations handbook. This week that employee had enough.
This week Mayor Robert Lamb fired one of the employees of the Taylor Water Department. which is the one that fix leaks and keeps the water system operational.
MAGISTRATE AND MAYOR
At the last Taylor City Council Administrative Meeting, which the Council can not vote in, there was a request for a Magistrate school in Birmingham for Peggy, a new assistant to the Magistrate. Councilman Kenny Thompson had some questions. With no respect to the City Council by not getting up and addressing the from the front, Peggy yelled from the back of the room that Magistrate Ann Baxter had “ALREADY” paid for the school from the court fund. The check had to be signed by Taylor Mayor Robert Lamb.
QUESTION: (1) What authority does the Magistrate have to write a check without the Taylor City Council vote of approval? (2) How does Mayor Robert Lamb have the authority to sign the check without the approval of the Taylor City Council?
The last regular Taylor City Council Meeting there was only one item on the agenda where the Taylor City Council has the authority to vote. That item was the approval of the minutes of the last meeting. Had the school for the Magistrate been urgent, it should have been placed on the agenda to be voted on. But it was not. And to write the check and send off without the approval of the Taylor City Council is wrong!!! And the Council should take disciplinary actions against the Magistrate and Mayor Robert Lamb. This should be a terminating offense on the Magistrate and an impeachment of the Mayor.
CAUSE I DO NOT LIKE THEM
In 45 minutes of being sworn in as Mayor, the long running rumor that Lamb was going to terminate Police Chief James Brazier came true. The Taylor City Council has not followed their own rules and regulations for documentation and a hearing on the termination of Chief James Brazier. Willful neglect of duty of the Taylor City Council.
Robert Lamb was employed with the City of Taylor as a Code Enforcement Officer when James Brazier came on as Police Chief. Some things that Robert Lamb was doing, Brazier felt were not correct, so he took actions and had those changed. That made Robert Lamb mad and caused Lamb to not like Brazier. So the termination was nothing about job performance, it was about Robert Lamb not liking James Brazier. It was a planned common scheme and design of now Mayor Robert Lamb. Then former Taylor Police Officer Tim Miller was there for Lamb’s swearing in. Miller told someone he was there because he wanted to see Brazier fired. And he did!!!
Now RSN understands Mayor Robert Lamb is after the Senior Citizens Director’s job. Lamb also had worked in the Senior Citizens Center. He has cut the Senior Citizen’s hours and has been overheard telling the City Clerk he wants the Senior Citizens Director fired. And it is not for job performance, it is because Mayor Robert Lamb does not like her, according to sources. So to the Senior Citizens Clerk, document and take notes.
PETITION FOR RECALL
There is a petition for recall of Mayor Robert Lamb. The council is at a loss of what to do with Mayor Robert Lamb. TO THE CITIZENS OF TAYLOR – Robert Lamb is DESTROYING YOUR CITY. It is time for him to go home. In the single years I was friends with Robert and his wife. So thiis is not about if I like Robert. I do like him. But this job is wayyyyyyyy out of his league and he is second by second destroying your city.
TIME FOR THE CITIZENS TO STAND UP AND SAY ROBERT LAMB – YOUR TIME IS UP – RESIGN
The Taylor City Council meets Tuesday night at 6 PM.. Pop you some popcorn and sit back and watch. RSN will be there and livestreaming the TAYLOR MUNICIPAL DRAMA SHOW, starring Mayor Robert Lamb. Attend the meeting, the recall petition will be available for Taylor Registered voters who voted int he last election to sign.
In closing, most of the council wants changes, just not sure how to change the Mayor’s actions.
i DO NOT LIVE IN TAYLOR. Personally, it matters not, personally, what Robert Lamb does. But I care for the people of Taylor and making sure you know. The videos speak for themselves.
UPDATED @ 11:39 AM
Additional factual information, it appears that Taylor Mayor Robert Lamb has created a hostile work enviornment.
According to reliable sources, Taylor Mayor Robert Lamb is alleged to have yelled and cussed at the employee. While the employee was cleaning out her desk Mayor Robert Lamb refused and never took the opportunity to apologize. After 7 or 8 years the employee walked out and quit.
This stunt with the female, the Water Department employee, with Former Chief of Police James Brazier, some other false accusations made by Taylor Mayor Robert Lamb could cause civil litigation against both the City of Taylor and Robert Lamb, personally. That means his house, property, money in the bank and any assets he might have personally, could be on the line.
If there is a lawsuit, the City of Taylor will have to employ an attorney to represent the City and Robert Lamb will have to personally employ and attorney to protect his assets. And a good civil defense attorney hourly rate will be at least $ 300.00 an hour, or more. It could get very costly.
The parties are sick and tired of the actions of Taylor Mayor Robert Lamb. The Taylor City Council Members are tired of Taylor Mayor Robert Lamb. And all are on pins and needles at what his actions are about to cost the citizens of Taylor. And for his wife, the danger of his personal assets being on the line.
Lamb has made the statement before, he would go back to the old days where you walk outside and fight it out.
